Jim Poe has been drawing since he was very young. Although he drew nearly all the time when he was young, everything from a comic parodies to amuse his classmates to fine detailed pencil renderings of custom “Hot Rod” automobiles.
As with many young artists, the reality of getting a job doing art did not seem to be a practical goal. Instead he worked in various jobs in his adult years from printing, his first job being at a commercial printing plant which turned out his hometown newspaper four to five days a week, to parts manager in a motor cycle shop and a few other jobs as well.
Later he finally found himself doing art designs for various screen printers and sign makers with his brother Mark churning out t-shirt designs as well as logos and various other designs at the office of Mega Graphics.
Jim has always enjoyed being part of the team. On several occasions Jim has drawn the penciled art and passed it on to Mark to finish in ink. Jim is also experienced in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and CorelDRAW.
